OUR MISSION
The team at Impulse Rehab and Wellness is truly dedicated to each of our clients’ well-being and strive to create a healing environment. Our mission is to provide patients with individualized care, helping to restore one’s independence and livelihood. Primarily treating neurological conditions in addition to orthopedic conditions makes Impulse Rehab unique among physical therapy clinics in the Chicagoland area. Our clinic also offers speech therapy services for adults who have cognitive and communication impairments and occupational therapy for hand wrist and elbow injuries.

5 stars for Leigh Shea! After undergoing Radiation and Chemotherapy for head and neck cancer I worked with Leigh to help me with the dysphasia (swallowing difficulties) that I was experiencing.
When we initially started working together I was fearful of eating any solid food for fear of choking. With Leigh’s help I was able to get on a path that I needed to successfully eat solids.

I had my wheelchair evaluation completed at Impulse Rehab & Wellness, and I cannot recommend them enough! As a first-time wheelchair user, I had tons of questions and was unfamiliar with the process of getting a custom manual wheelchair. Beth was incredibly kind and caring; she took the time to listen to my questions and concerns, provide detailed explanations and answers, and offer several helpful suggestions based on my specific medical history. She really went the extra mile to make sure I got a chair that was the right fit for my disability needs. I've been using my new wheelchair for a couple weeks now, and it's exactly what I need, and I'm very grateful to Beth for her help with this.

I'm 79 and learned about Impulse thru Silver Sneakers. They have exercise classes 3 days a week that vary weekly and cover strength, balance, and stretching. I've been going for several months and I’ve become much more limber. Excellent program with instructors that provide positive and enthusiastic training. Great place.

This place is awesome. You get attention here 100 per cent. I’ve been to physical therapists where they don’t give you the undivided attention you get from here. Beth is the best. She’s good at what she does, Fun to talk to while she gives you the utmost best exercises to do for your condition. She’s listens to you and if you feel soar she works with you for what feels the best for that particular day, She knows when to push you and when not to push you. .

Exceptional therapist, very knowledgeable and caring. I was having a lot of discomfort in my right hip. After three appointments and three weeks of home exercises, I am able to go on my walks almost pain-free. I’m very pleased with the one on one treatment. Maryann is the best.

I had surgery at Rush in Dec. 2021 for severe cervical stenosis & started working with Mary Ann Hilson in Jan. 2022. I found her to be extremely skilled, professional & caring. I also saw her for my two total knee replacements, one in April, 2022 and the other in Sept. 2022. The one thing that so impressed me was the individualized care…she worked with me alone for the entire hour. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for quality physical therapy.

DAVID
I was recently hit by a car and one of my injuries was my finger on my right hand. The reason I wanted to get it fixed was I am a bass guitarist in a band. Most guitar musicians will tell you your hands and fingers we try to protect them alot. OLIVER is my therapist. He is doing a unbelievable job on my finger. I am only in my 4th visit and I am already making a fist. I want to thank OLIVER he is a Navy Vet and I am also a Navy Vietnam Vet. Thank you for all your help.
